Hi Stampers!
No video today...no, no...just a simple little card using
the Love Bandit Set #118577. I love the little images in
this set, they are great for coloring and paper piecing for
sure!
My base is a standard A2 size in Real Red, I am trying
to get into the "Valentine" theme here... not a holiday I
make tons of projects for but I know you guys are wanting
to see a little something that you can make for your Sweethearts
right? I have been married for almost 30 years so the "Sweetie"
thing went out the window about 20 years ago!! Or...unless
I want something! LOL Naw I am just kiddin'...he is still my
sweetie, but he is now my OLD sweetie now!
Ok, back to my card.... like I said the base is standard size
cut from Real Red card stock. I did use 2 retired items on
today's card (shame, shame) but the fact is they just looked
good for this project. The dsp on the bottom of the card is from
the retired Night & Day paper, I am really hoping to see
this come back in the Spring Catalog. The other retired item is
the satin chocolate chip ribbon, but it is just so yummy!
So, that leaves the focal on the card, I cut the kraft cs with the top note
die and used a dotty embossing folder for some "pop". I added some
silver brads and then applied it to the card with dimensionals. I cut a
2x2 square from the red cs and used the new Scallop Trim Corner
Punch #118870 to decorate and cutzy up the square. The little squirrel
was stamped with Stazon black ink onto water color paper. I used some
of my ink pads and my aqua painter to color the sweet image and then
punched it out with a large oval punch and applied it to my card.
Ok gang... thanks for stopping by today, I (heart) you!
